A goods train derailed near Mathura junction tonight disrupting rail traffic between the Uttar Pradesh town and Delhi and throwing schedules of about half a dozen trains out of gear.
Laden with petroleum products, the Delhi-bound train was coming from Kota in Rajasthan and proceeding towards the yard when it derailed at about 9 pm, Agra DRM office PRO Bhupender Singh said.
It has affected both up and down tracks upsetting the schedules of over half a dozen trains, he said, adding, efforts are on to clear the tracks.
