The city is limping back to normalcy after witnessing violence over obscene writings on the wall of a graveyard, even as authorities said the prohibitory orders would be in force till Tuesday.

In the last three days, 61 persons have been arrested following clashes in the parts of the city after members of a minority community objected to some obscene writings, Chandiram Singh, DCP, Hubli-Dharwad told PTI.

Night curfew would remain clamped from 2000 hours to 0700 hours on Monday. Prohibitory orders would be in force till Tuesday, he said.

No untoward incident was reported today, he said.

One person was injured when police used batons to disperse stone-throwing mob in communally sensitive Kamaripet and some localities in old Hubli city on Friday.
