Sandal wood smuggler wife Muthulakshmi alleged on monday before a court that the Tamil Nadu police poisoned her husband and his associates before killing them.
She filed a petition before Madras High Court that Special Task Force chief Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Vijayakumar and his men had paid local tribesmen in the Sathyamangalam forest to poison the Veerapan gang hiding in the forests in 2004.

I never heard this before. I am shocked after reading that the government who were so happy on their act of killing merciless Veerappan, killed this forest dacoit by giving poison by fruad.
Its shameless for us if this statement given by his wife is true.
