I am sharing with you an important update regarding insertion of new Form No. 68 by Ministry of Corporate Affairs. MCA on 5th March, 2010 framed Companies (Central Government's) General Rules & Forms (Second Amendment), 2010. These rules will come into force with effect from 14th March, 2010. Rule 20 G has been inserted providing for :

1. An Application for Rectification of mistakes made while filling Form No.1, Form No. 1A, Form No. 44 electronically, on Ministry's website shall be made to the Registrar of Companies in Form No.68;

2. Such Application shall be accompanied by fees of Rs.1000 for rectification of mistakes in Form No. 1 and Form No. 1A and Rs.10,000 for rectification of mistakes in Form No. 44 respectively;

3. Such an Application in Form No. 68 complete in all respects shall be made to the Registrar within 365 days from the approval of Form No. 1, Form No. 1A and Form No. 44 respectively by the Registrar;

4. The mistakes shall be approved within 60 days of filling of such application;

5. The rectification of mistakes shall be allowed only once in respect of one company;

6. This provision is also applicable for the above forms filed and approved electronically before 14th March 2010.
