Well! Megrisoft I can just guess as I don't have any experience.

I can't really say what type of marriages are successful? as we see many people who had love marriages and later had divorce.
And many people who got a arranged marriage and still doing well.
You can see the married life of well known Actor Aamir Khan who recently got married for the second time.
Long time back I saw his interview in which he was talking about the struggle he faced to marry his first wife Reena.If Reena was his first love whom he got married then why it end up in a divorce

There is a great saying that "love never dies"
Does these kind of happenings around us justify the statement

So,it cant be proved whether we should prefer arranged or love marriage.

Of course I'll prefer love marriage, but since our family is engage with arrange marriage I don't think I can disobey them.
