Aamir Khan starrer 'Rang De Basanti' which was involved in a controversy for depiction of MIG fighter aircraft as accident prone, has steered clear after being seen by the Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and the three chiefs of the defence forces: Air Marshal S P Tyagi, General J J Singh and Admiral Arun Prakash.

Though the movie had already been cleared by the censor board, it had created controversy. The has shot scenes in the movie 'Rang De Basanti' focussing on accidents caused to MIG-21. The film portrays the lives of young pilots, the risks they undertake while flying and hardships their families undergo after deaths of officers in crashes.

Vinay Rai of Leo Arts welcomed the clearance given to the film and said: 'The media has a role in highlighting the need for modernisation of our defence forces'.

Release of 'Rang De Basanti' has been postponed. Earlier the film was scheduled release on Jan 20. While the movies Fight Club, Aksar and Mere Jeevan Saathi were set for Jan 27 release.

This postponement of Aamir's movie has affected other movies as well. Due to release of Rang De Basanti on Jan 26, the releases of the three other films have been pushed ahead.

The three shifted movies are now set to release on Feb 3. Also releasing on the same day would be Kalpana Lazmi’s movie Chingari.

The audiences continue to turn out in droves to the cinema halls to watch the latest Aamir Khan-starrer 'Rang De Basanti'. And accolades keep pouring in.

Aamir's last 'Mangal Pandey-The Rising' may not have measured up to people's expectations but his latest film 'Rang De Basanti' has not only rocked audiences at home as well as abroad but has also bowled over the critics and people in the Mumbai film industry.

I really liked this movie. I saw it in the theaters, and i think it's one of the best movies in years.

There's something about the movie, maybe it's the close friendship, maybe it's the patriotism, but i really enjoyed the movie.

Everyone should watch it.
