26 January is the most important day in our history. On 26 January 1950, Constitution of India came into force. In this day India became a totally republican unit. Dreams of all solidiers and great leaders came true who fought and sacrificed their life for independence of our country. Since then, this day is celebrated as .
To mark the importance of this occasion, every year a grand parade is held in the capital, from the Raisena Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan, along the Rajpath, past India Gate and on to the historic Red Fort. The different regiments of the march past in all their finery and official decorations.
The parade is followed by a pageant of spectacular displays from the different states of the country. The parade also includes lots of traditional dances to symbolize heritage.
The patriotic fervor of the people on this day brings the whole country together even in her essential diversity.

Yes!Republic day is a great day for all of us India became totally republican unit.
We all celebrate this day but we all should never forget the sacrifices of the great leaders and soldiers who gave their lives to make India an independent nation.
"My blood will nourish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom. Tell my people that I love them. They must continue the fight."
